Practical tool to divide files into smaller fragments personalized by the user.

Many of the files in computers these days are of a considerable size, especially if they are multimedia files or video. Zipping them often isn't enough to make it easier to send them to someone else, upload them, copy them to a portable device, etc. So the next step would be to divide the file up into smaller pieces, do what you need to them (ie send, upload, copy) and then put them back together at the other end. And for that you need a specialized tool. So if you find yourself with a number of large files you'd like to split, then what you need is a program like this one, called KsSplitter 1.7. As the name indicates, KsSplitter 1.7 is a simple and practical tool to divide files into smaller fragments. The size of those fragments can be personalized by the user, and the original file can be reconstructed from them.

KsSplitter 1.7 has many unique features like scanning for viruses automatically, appending partly split files, loading via the command line, showing statistics on files being split at that moment, and a verifying tool to make sure the split file is put back together correctly.

KsSplitter 1.7 comes in two versions: Lite and Professional. In order to activate some features in Lite (which is free) you need to pay top upgrade to Professional.
